The backfill soil satisfied technical standards for the top layer, requested in most surface structure in infrastructure construction, is becoming deprived in Danang city. On the other hand, it is the norm that the macadam is often thickly designed and is devided into a lot of layers, which not only taking time being implemented but also creating dust affecting the surrounded area, especially the crowded residential areas. This urges a new material or different designed methods more suitable with the present and future circumstances, when a significant number of large projects will be carried out demanding more backfill soil and macadam. The Reinforcement system based on Ionic-interconnected chemicals is one of the solutions for these problems. 

 

Dated June 26, 2009, the placing of wearing course for the steel deck of Thuan Phuoc bridge had been completed with technologies and materials the first time ever introduced in Vietnam. The work had been carried out by MBA Joint Venture which was duly represented by BK Engineering and Construction Company (BK-ECC).

The Epoxy Asphalt had been applied for the carriageway wearing course, the pedestrians path  with SMA in combination with Advanced Polymer Type III, an advanced asphalt with most marked characteristics in recent market. Bonding/waterproofing course for the entire bridge deck is a bond coat of Epoxy Type Id which had been sprayed forming the membrane at high temperature with specialized equipments.

Dated 21 January, 2010, in meeting room No.2 in Danang Department of Transport, the BK-ECC was represented Consultant Joint Venture ALAI-PTCC-ECC to reported the proposal for collapse treatment option in Kien slope. Chair of meeting is Mr. Le Chua - Deputy Director for Department of Transport with attendance of Engineers from Rural Transport Project Management Unit, Danang Transport Works Repair Management and Drainage Company, Department of Quality Control and Verification belonging to the Department of Transport. This is a second report of Consultant Joint Venture to collect the ideas prior to organize an official report to the Danang City People's Committee.

On 23, January 2010, BK-ECC had completed the trial section of collapse treatment due to the running sand phenomenon appeared during the  pipe culvert construction in Danang International Airport Rehabilitation Project, under the contract signed by enterprise No. 234 belonging to the Air Construction Company (ACC) -  main contractor conducting traffic road and drainage system. As scheduled, from next week, BK-ECC will execute to construct on a large scale in accordance with the submitted and verified option.
