In May 2003, a group of experts who were lecturers in Danang Polytechnic in association with contruction engineers graduated from this university established Bach khoa Associates (BKA). The head office was situated at Lot 216-218 Oil Expert Area, Quang Ngai Town, whereby there was a construction material testing and construction quality verification laboratory LAS XD-95. The initial scopes of business of the firm were to provide consulting services, material testing, construction quality verification for infrastructure of Dung Quat Industrial zone and other construction projects in this area. To provide consulting service for Highland provinces, a branch office was setted up in Daklak provine in July 2003.
In September 2006, for the firm’s expansion and development, the Founding Council decided to establish Engineering and Construction Center, which was specialized in the implementation of civil construction contracts on the Dung Quat Refinery Project. The Center also provided special enineering services for construction works such as land survey works (elevation and coordinates control during construction), concrete coring, structural crack repair, waterproffing, rectification of defect of steel structure elements, epoxy grount installation….
To cope with the development trend of construction consulting field, take advantage of collective intelligence for the work effectiveness and facilitate the association with international consultant firms and other partners, in May 2007, Founding Coucil decided to reform the firm’s management from a limited liability company to a Joint-Stock company. The new name of the firm is now BK Engineering and Construction corporation (BK-ECC) with the Head Office situated at Binh Tri Commune, Binh Son Dist. Quang Ngai City. The Da Nang Ref. Office is located at 257 Nguyen Van Linh St, Da Nang City.

By the management reform, the long-term objectives are to develop the firm to an Engineering and Construction Group, working in transportation and infrastructure construction in Danang City, Central Highland and the South of Vietnam. The Company specialises in providing civil construction performances and management services for Infrastructural Project, consulting services and construction quality verification, project management for construction, carrying out Research and Development for new technology transfer and promoting new materials in construction field.
While continuously updating and upgrading its main activity (Engineering Services), BK-ECC has also invested in other related sectors (Civil construction Contracts and Technical Services in construction). This diversified expansion has enhanced the Corporation’s effectiveness and work quality to succeed in its main activity, simultaneously satisfying Clients’ requirements and offering them the most benefit by exploiting resources and providing a balanced package service at high standard. This superiority has been demonstrated through a whole series of projects of which BK-ECC was the main contractor during recent years, especially projects in Dung Quat Refinery Project in Quang Ngai.
